3. Affirmative action apparently doesn’t “work” in the US. I’d love to see the procedure repeated for SC/ST/OBC students in India. The meaning of “work” is limited to catching-up academically, not improved life outcomes, for which there is favorable evidence.

5. Speaking about Mankiw, here are his 4 principles of tax reform. Valid anywhere in the world. This is one of his “consensus” articles – you’d have to look long and hard to find an economist who disagrees.
